About William Newton, DO, MS

William Newton, DO, MS, is a dual board-certified physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) and pain management.  He currently serves as the medical director at Clearway Pain Solutions. Located in Lakewood Ranch, FL. His mission is to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care to individuals living in and around the Sarasota area.

Dr. Newton earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He then completed an internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Newton also obtained a Master of Science in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. He specializes in Interventional Pain Management.

Dr. Newton has held academic appointments at Vanderbilt Medical School, Uniformed Services Medical School, and the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He regularly teaches residents, fellows, and practicing physicians to perform innovative procedures in pain management.
